Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Smith Bay Camp, we understand that plans can change. As a remote, boat-access wilderness destination with limited availability, the following policy is designed to be fair to both our guests and our operations.
Deposits
- A deposit is required to confirm all reservations.
- Deposits are non-refundable once a booking is confirmed.
- Deposits secure exclusive access to accommodations and dates that cannot easily be rebooked.
Cancellations
- Cancellations made 60 days or more prior to arrival:
- Deposit is non-refundable.
- Any additional payments made may be refunded, less the deposit.
- Cancellations made within 60 days of arrival:
- All payments are non-refundable, unless the reservation is successfully rebooked for the same dates.
- No-shows or early departures:
- No refunds will be issued for unused nights or services.
Rebooking & Date Changes
- If you are unable to attend your scheduled stay, we will make reasonable efforts to rebook your dates.
- If the dates are rebooked, payments (excluding the deposit) may be applied to a future stay, subject to availability and season.
- Date changes are not guaranteed and must be approved in advance.
Weather & Acts of Nature
- Smith Bay Camp operates in a remote wilderness environment.
- No refunds will be issued for delays, early departures, or reduced services due to weather conditions, wildlife activity, water levels, or other natural events beyond our control.
Camp Closures or Exceptional Circumstances
- In the unlikely event that Smith Bay Camp must cancel your reservation due to circumstances beyond our control, all payments made will be refunded in full, or credited toward a future stay at the guest’s discretion.
Policy Acceptance
By submitting a deposit or payment, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
